She turned to the blue as a means to be true but green and brown so close to her feet pulled her away and tied her down to the oddities of life on the earth. Now a gypsy is prone to shake her head not only when dancing to the tune of love and so she does almost every day in attempts to align with the unfathomable. She shakes and shakes while trundling along in a wagon grown old and missing the spark and of dancing it seems she’s forgotten the moves and the tune of love too feint to be heard. She’s a gypsy alone too far from home but years of living have dulled her brain and she can’t recall the site and layout of that place where the music played. She wonders if this hill or maybe the next will find her facing her very own death but still the search for where she belongs pushes her forward and on. It’s that blue, that blue, that beautiful blue that can bring down the magic to earth to turn old wagons to flying machines and transport the old back into youth. And if you were the blue, what would you do? Like gypsies perhaps you’d just shake your head and forever, forever, attempt to align with the completely unfathomable! Helen / 4 May 2014 |

This is the gist of the living the everyday life of necessity. It has been said that the gypsy's dance and make love to chase away the everyday blues and despair. I, for one am all in favor of that, Helen. ~*~ Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? ~*~ |

Hi Jerry. Making love is good, yes, but 'feeling' love is more meaningful in the grand scheme of things. And that life of necessity ... sucks! ![]() |

Helen, Love is in the air with the flowers and the birds. It is really all around us if we choose to tune in. This morning while I was cutting overgrown branches from a tree, growing where it shouldn't be, I heard the clip clip clip of the brown thrasher. It is in that tree sending out a code. Yesterday he or she was on my roof clipping but also thrilling a little song. I do not know what message and that gives me wonder. I did not answer the little bird today as I usually do, for somehow I feel it is in distress or lost. I would not want to misdirect it' s message. |

Hi Jo. Yes, the birds are great. I wake up to them singing every morning and wouldn't want to live without that. And then I've been watching a lot of real crime shows lately which brings on that shaking head and the not understanding of either the above or the below. So, when it comes to the world out there I have to ask, "Where has all the love gone?". Perhaps it's time to change channels but it's how from the smallest of clues they can find the criminals that keeps me hooked. Wish someone could unravel the mystery of life. I've tried but sadly have failed. Keep well, Jo. |

Helen, I have been watching too much political and war problems on TV. We never know from day to day so this week I pledge to watch More Turner Classic Movies as they play the oldies but goodies and I can go back in a time when we at least thought life was mellow. best to you Helen,Jo |

It’s that blue, that blue, that beautiful blue that can bring down the magic to earth to turn old wagons to flying machines and transport the old back into youth. How beautifully said, dear Helen! To hear the tune of love throughout all the horrible events that occur on Earth, is indeed quite a deed and not always we can keep trustful. And yet we try! Loved also Jo's comments. It is not a question of ignoring the bad things, but of our ability to cultivate optimism and live according to the laws of love despite all the darkness in the world. You write so well, dear Helen! Thank you. Love, Margherita |

Hello Margherita. So nice to see you here. Yes, the laws of love - how simple they are and yet seemingly so hard for us to live by. Thank you so much for reading and for your most uplifting comment. Love Helen |

Thanks, Ida. I'm a bit late in acknowledging because for some reason or other the notification went to my spam folder. So glad you enjoyed. That gypsy sure has travelled some. |
