The Ancient Egyptians

The ancient Egyptians, not being ancient Greeks,
Didn’t know about pie; so they invented cake.
The directions were Egyptian hyrogliphs:
A king sitting sideways on his thrown,
With the body of a lion,
A tail towd by an idiot
And the head of a fox!
So next time you eat pie
Remember it is really Greek food.

… And how do you like your hemlock, sir?
