Kansas wind Rambunctious pup Tussling trees Rustling leaves Snapping at the laundry Hanging on the line Ruffling feathers Trying patience Along its playful path Wearing out its welcome Tipping over the trash |

"Snapping at the laundry" is my favorite line in this ultra mini ode to the famous Kansas Wind. I remember the smell of laundry snapping in the wind back in Arkansas, one of the truly happy moments I experienced back then. I can still smell it as I sit here in The Hovel. ~*~ Love is friendship set on fire. ~*~ |

Dogs and laundry on the line go together in time for me. I remember taking down a whole basket of laundry, folding as I went. And having one of the (at that time) 5 dogs lift its leg on the basket. Arrrggghhh!! Of course he waited until the basket was full! Lori |
