Images resume
as the growing season nears

I long for the showcase
and thrill
of your Easter bonnet colors

but alas, barely a sprig of green
blinks from the bay's view
upon this bleached over still life

soon enough
as they say

all will resurrect
on a beat of heart and mind
and a filibuster of pastels
will once again
wow me into the submission
that  yes, love can,
and will, again

as I digress
from the aftermath
of a winter that raged

rendering me
weak in the knees

waiting for your green

Yes, it has been a brutal winter, that's a sure fire fact. Spring will arrive where you live eventually. I know you are eager for it to begin. Nice work on the poem, it really showcased your frustration.

She is right, you are like a touch of spring to this blue room.  Loved your title... thought maybe you were going to write about waiting on an income tax refund. LOL!  I know you have it in you to even write about THAT and it come out smelling sweet as a rose! The more You write the more I enjoy your work.

EmmaRose, I love how you blend the ravages of nature and its rebirth with aspects of human life and love, knowing and feeling how closely they are interwoven.
