Lori inspired this little ditty!

What a way to have to exist,
It makes you want to raise your fist.
It seems wherever the rat goes,
Everyone starts screaming and throws,
Everything they can find to pitch.
Hope to kill the rat, watch it twitch.
They’re so mistreated, yes indeed,
They’re really not a vicious breed.
Though they have been in every war,
In PT boats they came ashore,
Normandy Invasion to roar.
Was there when we took on Japan,
In that last push for peace to began.
No life-sized statues will you find,
Shameful how they are so maligned.
