National Poetry Month, April 5th A beautiful sadness poem. It was about 16 years ago. I had had a massive heart attack (I'm OK now) and was given 6 months to live after refusing a bypass. 2 years or so later I had another smaller one. In the middle of the day when I came home from the hospital I laid down for a nap. Penny came and tucked me in. As I watched, this poem was born. It can still make me cry. . Fold Me . fold me, hold me like a dove kiss me, miss me when I’m near touch me, touch me while I live don’t wait until I die, my love . gently, softly like a prayer tuck me, send me hold my hand call me, hear me from above defend me when I fall, my love . © kevinjtaylor http://www.poetkevinjtaylor.tumblr.com/ |

Yes. I can absolutely understand why it can still make you cry. What a special poem. ~*~ In America, anyone can become president. That's the problem. ~*~ |
