oh great god
somewhere up above
I’ve drank
a little too much
cheap California burgundy
I’m . . . er . . . loaded
red wine
gotta love it
like an old country song
I’d like to thank the folks who raise the grapes
way out in California
I should thank you for listening to me
but sometimes thanks
comes hard for me
uh, there’s the woman I told her about
my on and off again relationship
with you
haven’t seen or heard from her
in a while
maybe you have
once after our loving
I told her I was starving
and would she make me an omelet
Heh.Heh
she wiggled her fingers in front of my face
and said . . .
poof! you’re an omelet
got the giggles and hiccups so bad
she slid off the bed onto the floor
lay there laughing
I got up and scrambled me some eggs
eh, like I said haven’t seen or heard from her
lately
if you have please be good to her

A drunken prayer to God... I have to say that is a unique topic. I actually like this one alot. There is an implied vulnerability here that is captivating to me.
