The mountains are his ancestors whispering of the eons His father is the rugged plain His mother the gentle valley He calls the mighty trees brother and sisters the streams His heart soars with the eagle His joy echoes its screams |

He certainly does all that you say in the truly beautiful poetry he pens. He is such an inspiration to us all, would that I had his qualities. ~*~ In America, anyone can become president. That's the problem. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (03-29-2014 08:55 AM).] |

Would that you did, you would not be you. And we would all miss that. As in nature, we all have our niche. Lori |

This ever-so-humble 'poetic scribbler' is deeply touched ! ... Thank you also, Lori, for you most kind comments on my most recent 'penning' specifically. Not too many folks usually read/comment on my 'writes,' I'm glad that a few of you apparently see something 'of merit' in them ... especially in that a so-called 'professional critic' called my stuff "nothing but pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe" ... |

Actually ... I 'write' with an antique fountain pen and a 1920 typewriter ... [I'm a charter member of the low-techies 'lead-pencil' society ... ha, ha!] ... The 'word processor' and cyber-sea are the very last step and only out of necessity in that (hopefully) in giving a 'voice' to Nature I might make some small difference in this sad 'ol world. For many, many generations my 'family motto' has always been: Nemo vir est qui mundum non reddat meliorem: What man is truly a man who does not make the world better? |
