The river in the sky!

Prepare to say goodbye!

A streak of glass

Lighting fingers towards
The infinite horizon.

Pithing needle
Singing eyes!

Out rolls heavens thunder
Oh so high!

He passes from life,
To his rest in the grave.

To say this fellow went out with a bang seems like an understated comment.

Dynamic progression to what may be an untimely end, like being struck by lightning.
