You move so slow, so sensual, dancing, You catch the eyes and send dreaming heart racing, The beat, your feet, dance and music combine As sound and movement intertwine. Spirit of the song takes my sad dreaming away. My feet won’t move to beats of drums and song, I sit without movement for much too long I’ll watch you sway a dancing spirit divine Perhaps to take your hand in my mind Spirit of dance takes my sad dreaming away Sound and movement end with the still of the song, I fade to blackness back where I belong, With memories of dance filling my desire Passions of which I can’t aspire. Such a despondent poem, but one with some brightness to it in the form of watching her dance. She will come back. ~*~ There was a sign on the lawn at a drug re-hab center that said 'Keep off the Grass'. ~*~ |

..."in the still of the night hold me darling hold me tight" This time you've gone too far Professor! Look at me! Crying, lonesome...! I'm heading to the gin mill and finding me someone to dance with! (everyone else got bored with my Parcheesi playing and hit the sack) Touch, but don't look |

Thank you, JerryPat2 and Jack Napes, Despondent, sad, lonesome, yes; That is all that is me and I express in poetry, Sometimes not so much, and those I’ll post But I find little response to much of my poetry And most have no idea how to respond, hence I have not been posting. I appreciate that you took the time to read and respond. Gloom |
