The far away peninsula
Lapped the whitecaps over and, over
The color blue turned, to foam
As the land was parched and the swells, lay arched while the rocks sat drunk, with spray
The tight closed mussels, filled with pearls
A gull was hopping, on one leg
The sky was shy and turned to cry behind a curtain, moist of missed
A couple dreams, walked the beach
And wrote a Sanskrit, in the soil
Dents, of regret
Burrows, never met
Scratched with backs, and knees that couldn't sleep
The tide came in and tasted sin
For wasting all their, time apart
The poem it penned and all, It was was swallowed sweetly, by the sea
It sings for us and always, will
In serenades upon, the shore

The now and then and tomorrow and forever of the lure of sea, song, sand, sky sun and sea-lovers of all kinds! Lovely, Rich, as always.

Makes me want to go there and walk the dream. Richy, this is a treasure buried deep in the sands.

Richy, I concur with the ladies before me. I could not have said it better.

Tears, dents, scratches and then a serenade...in that order.
Yep! That's her alright!
Your poetry has an incredible ring of truth in it Richy!
Just like her, very well put together!
Touch, but don't look
