I have stopped writing books
there is no more allure
my novels are ashes
within all of my dreams
my characters are gone
I don’t live for them
I live for something else
or someone, better still
she’s on my mind a lot
there was a time past
characters in my books
kept me alive and well
a sad existence you say
I say you’re full of crap
it was what I lived for
don’t you understand that
you live for what you love
we all make our own way
but now I have a love
she’s my plot and sub-plots
the heroine in real life
as far as I’m concerned
that’s a royal straight flush
