I'll be your reflection
to see yourself realized
a damaged inflection
an atmosphere of trust in your eyes
and I'll be impossibilities
hidden in the reality of you
anything to
set your light brighter above the sky
I'll be your reflection
a chemical reaction
to the magic I see in your eyes

I'll be your signal fire
bursting out loud tonight
a heart-tapped wire
decoding effortless grace in your light
and it will be wonderful
mapping the nearness of you
it will be true
seeing the sun blush it all away tonight
I'll be your signal fire
taking you higher
above the clouds in a restless flight

Hotel Vertigo
living like a king off of bittersweet tears
mirrors held up against the tide
that I detect in the sanctity of your fears
a moon gone indigo
dreaming like an open wound tonight
glass fastened to the riverwide
streaming on and on like hot autumn blood
ankle deep in the flood
staring at your reflection in the water
beauty and wonder's sweet daughter
pegged down by the wind
of some other man's words
but I'll be you're reflection
alchemical confection
of the truths you've never heard

I'll be your decoder ring
to see yourself unveiled
and isn't there anything
a dream or two still left to sell
and I'll tend the mystery
hidden in a lovely view of you
anything to
set your open eyes brighter than the sky

to keep you company as you fly
