walked outside the hovel into the shine of a rich full moon I stood there allowing its shine to engulf me absolutely ’ere I raised my eyes up toward its magnificence where it lay like a stone within my heart for I love someone who will never return to me as it used to be a spirited and self-assured love, she the beautiful full moon mocks me relaying to me my blame eh . . . and it is right still, within my heart she shall always remain n’er to be pushed away I visit her kisses in the midnight hour oh, imaginary is so delightful still my nucleus remains unfulfilled never shall I find peace within ©January 5, 2017 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (01-05-2017 05:45 PM).] |

Thank you, Blues. Yeah, you're right, along with the sweetness of the memories comes the despair and regret. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

quote:Profound statement JerryPat. Is the peace you seek a settlement for the loss of love? Could be it's on the outside, or nowhere...until you create it. Heavy thoughts well expressed. Isn't that the half of it? BTS ...just bein' Bluesy |

Aw Blusey, I was just caught up in a moments feeling of nostalgia. They poem was its result. You said, "Isn't that the half of it?" and I say . . . Yes! ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Maybe that lovely moon wasn't mocking you Jerrypat but reflecting your good nature. Sometimes I think the glow of the moon can see me better than some people! Don't you? Great poem though! I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car. |

Awww, Stacy I know you have a good point and that the moon reflects our goodness for the most of us. Still . . . there are the other times. Thank you for giving me a read and commenting so vibrantly. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Yes Lori, if I write "beautiful words time and time again," it is because she is beautiful. Thank you dearly for your input. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Very good poem JerryPat2. I feel the moon is so mellow to observe too, no matter the mood. The sun just toasts your retinas. One ladle serves the soup that feeds the mouths of the many. |
