My husband says he can tell that winter is here without setting a foot outside the door. He doesn’t need to look out the window or check a temperature gauge. He doesn’t bother with the calendar to tell him the weather has turned. He has a method tried and true, simple as it may seem. You see, each night before we sleep, we always spoon with him warm against my back. And every year about this time something happens to me that is not very nice. He swears my butt turns cold as ice and here’s the thing, it won’t be warm again until Spring. |
