Fair to middlin' of nowhere

My husband says he can tell that winter is here
without setting a foot outside the door.
He doesn’t need to look out the window
or check a temperature gauge.
He doesn’t bother with the calendar
to tell him the weather has turned.
He has a method tried and true,
simple as it may seem.
You see, each night
before we sleep,
we always spoon
with him warm
against my back.
And every year about this time
something happens to me
that is not very nice.
He swears my butt turns cold as ice
and here’s the thing,
it won’t be warm again until Spring.

If both of you flip 180 degrees in the drawer... he'll have "Nothing" to complain about

Very nice. Loved the chilling end.

Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching...
