  Embers of the Soul

Down the march of
lonely days and hours
on this razor cusp of
  never
when dark wolves
howl at every door
and all youthful
  dreams
seem forever lost,
somehow hope still
  glimmers,
as tiny embers of the
  soul,
that Spring shall come
and Love will always
  find a way.

Can't say I ever lost my "youthful dreams". At times I can't even roll over at night, but I sure like your poetry. Spring will come, but brother there's a heck of a blow coming before it does!

Thankfully something does live inside us, most of us hopefully, that clings to the upcoming warmer days, as remote as that is in many states here righ tnow

Ahhh . . . my youthful dream to end all youthful dreams seem about ready to come true now that I am as near the grave as I am. I am truly stoked. Liked you poem very much.
