'Tis a dark, dreary night out on the moor -
Thick, heavy fog veils the depth of the night
Where dread-casting shadows remain obscure
And await the one who strays from the light.

His gaze a-fixed onto that wall of fear
Where dark forms shape-shift, terror on his face -
They appear briefly, first afar - then near
- But to vanish once more without a trace.

Oh - but then emerges the demon spell!
Flashes of white beneath a crimson glow,
This dreaded phantom bent on edge of hell
Quick-readies itself for the final blow.

And the lost one waits, paralyzed with dread --
The hound rebounds and rends the victim dead.
