Lost in gazes A fascination When first my heart met yours There were so many wishes between the absence of kisses when our hearts went out to play Still, through the dark distance there was a lover's persistence that the play would never end So the curtain rises on a stage of surprises leaving the audience thrilled And you, my leading lady And I, your leading man catch the thornless roses ...and capture our gazes once more I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car. |
