Before the Summer Wind (the ever-rolling years and fleeting seasons) Run wild and free before the Summer wind through the smoky-crimson twilight, while shimmering mountains still dance with the setting sun … for we are but frail ‘time-shadows’ tossed upon an endless cosmic sea; (lost stardust-phantoms on the tides of eternity) and all mercurial hints of fame or glory faster fade ... than the swirling Autumn mist, to die in Winter’s grasp of crisp indifference! --- b. e. adams |

I like this short, but well written poem, giving us the seasons in a very nice package of descriptive words. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Such lovely word images, I love how they carry me "wild and free" into fantastic imaginings. |

Your last line says so much. Life is a process, a journey, a gift... and it goes on and on. Wow, lots to ponder, lots to love. |

Thanks again, Bluesy ... for commenting on my li'l "poetic scribbles!" I've written over 2,000 of 'em ... and still don't know why I "Can't not write" ?! ... What compels each of us to write ... I call them "word paintings" rather than 'poems' |

What makes your "word paintings" so pleasant to read Bruce, is you seldom, if ever, use the words "I" or "you". You share wonderful thoughts without bringing it all back to yourself and I admire that. I don't care for strained poetic biographies. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

I don't care for "strained poetic biographies" either. if a 'word-painting' is to have any chance to waft along some immortal plane ... I think it generally needs to avoid "I" and "you," etc. Thank you for commenting on this 'write!' |

I said that I'd ignore you, but instead: I apologise. |

Best description of fragile humanity I ever read Bruce. |

Thank you Red ... I appreciate it One 'critic' called my word-paintings "nothing but pseudo-sentimental, syrup-dipped tripe" ... and a "weak shadow of dinosauric 19th. century Romanticism" ... so I should be used to any kind of unexpected reply to anything I write. |
