There are people I remember And some places too But of all the people that I've met I'll always remember you Some people have been sweet Some people have been kind Some people have been cruel Some I'll keep in mind None of them were perfect But I like them all the same Because if no one's perfect Who is there to blame Of all the places I have seen Of all of those I know Of all the places in my dreams I wonder where I'll go There are people I remember And some places too But of all the people that I've met I'll always remember you I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car. |

People stand out within our consciousness in positive or negative ways, some are just there. In this poem you say, "But of all the people that I've met / I'll always remember you" You left it up to the reader whether this remembrance is in a good light or a dark one. I go for the good light. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Your so smart Jerrypat. You must have talked to alot of people. Some things they should tell and some they shouldn't. Some say stuff in secret. Some say secret stuff in poems even. I don't care for any of that. He could always be trusted. That ONE is the one I remember. I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car. |
