Girl Power |

Christmas morning, daylight dawning Pictures pinned on kitchen wall Pregnant parcels under pine tree branches Winter Wellies discarded in the hall ~ Colour dresses, golden tresses Daisy chains in summer rain Clamour for their bedtime story ‘Please daddy, read it just once again’ ~ Noble knights on snow white chargers Maidens peep from downcast eyes While fairies stare in scary wonder As Miss Pouncher rides the starlit skies ~ Smothered giggles find smuggled chocolate Underneath bedtime pillows Secret whispers in the playtime garden Safe beneath the hanging willow ~ I look on four assorted females Not one boy, am I to blame? Away with all these futile wishes But I’ll settle for a thousand kisses Children are children, so why complain? |

I'm sure your four will love this. I liked it a great deal Cari. Fun to read and imagine your busy household and being the only 'boy' under the roof. The "Girl Power" will only increase...buckle up! Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

That was delightful! I think in hindsight you'll find all that girl power will have made you a better man. Boys are easy. ~L |

You can write poetry, and you are blessed with a heart. |

To be honest I wouldn’t change a thing. Sorry to say I’m taking a break, home and work pressure, loved sharing my scribbles with you all and enjoyed reading your work. Hopefully I’ll pop in now and again. You all take care now. Cari. |
