Fair to middlin' of nowhere

You are the light
That I bask in
Slowly turning
In an out of my seasons
Light and dark
Hot to cold
You hold me
On course
In the endlessness
Of my space
Without you
I’d be a lifeless rock
Spinning at the whims
Of distant gravities

It is nice to have a relationship such as you describe.

Yes indeed the sun sustains life but also every atom in our bodies comes from stardust. We are all the children of the stars. No offence meant to religious beliefs.
A most enjoyable poem.

JP-Yes it is. It is also troubling to realize how lost I'd be without it.~L
