Beauty in the Moonlight

I'm on the mountain
you are in the valley
and I'm missing you
about as much as I can imagine,
much more than I want to fathom,
so let me offer this simple solution;
I will meet you halfway in between
at that special place that soothes
our hearts and fills our dreams,
can we meet by the old oak tree
when the moon lights up the night,
and then we'll talk as we hold each other tight,
so please tell me we can meet at eight
by that old oak tree near Aunt Martha's place,
the place where I first met you and you met me
the place where beauty in the moonlite came to me,
I'll drive up in my old pick-up truck
and you can jump in, and we'll enjoy
each others company while my heart is filled
with your sweet love again.

Nice poem james, I like the idea of meeting halfway. Your visuals come to life and paint your poem in all its beauty.
