It is said that laughter is the best medicine. I say that silly stimulates the best kind of laughter. Silly insists upon several things. Ego must go, the inner child must come. Social confines cut loose and decorum disbanded. Silly has cohorts, abandon and glee, that stand head and shoulders above the mere funny. It blesses both the giver and the receiver with the ridiculous. Silly doesn’t utter chuckles, it rolls out in rounds of belly laughs. Silly snorts and howls in gales. Silly runs in tears and side aches. Silly catches its breath and makes your face hurt. LGR©1/14/16 |

Yep, pass around that liver and onions, you two. I agree, Lori, silly is the way to go when we're being . . . well . . . silly . . . ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Silly does have its time and place that is for sure and a little can go a long way but I highly recommend it. ~L |

Lori, I loved this! As adults we seem to have forgotten your words. Children are silly and can giggle constantly but as adults we are fortunate to laugh once in a while! Great thoughts and writing, MissMarti |

Wonderfully expressed truth, dear Lori! Our body and our brain enjoy that unbound natural explosion of laughter and our diaphragm expands and causes us a true high! I remember when I literally rolled on the floor laughing for some silly thing as a child and what made it impossible to stop was my Mom's terrified face. She said over and over "stop, stop", get some air! Now of course as adults it happens rarely, but when it does happen it's a welcome "miracle". Love, Margherita |
