     Reality

Although the moon
is wide and ancient
it’s image dances
in the smallest,
drop of dew.
The boundless sky
floats in the tiniest
puddle and a mirage.
Every grain of sand
was once a mountain.
The ocean lives in
each raindrop.
We are made of
recycled stardust
yet we dare to
    dream.
Which is more real
the dew, the rain,
the sand, the ocean,
the moon, the sky, us,
or our finest dreams?

We are not in competition, Bruce, with . . .
quote:
the dew, the rain,
the sand, the ocean,
the moon, the sky, us,
or our finest dreams?
