Christmas Wriggles. |

In an kindly act of kindness Which we sometimes wish to do And Christmas being Christmas We invited Auntie Pru ~ A maiden lady of sixty years Who had never taken a lover The reason why she remained unwed We would very soon discover ~ The bed was far too lumpy The bathroom far too far Our little home was lacking Most definitely over par ~ The turkey fat and golden brown In keeping with tradition Auntie stabbed it with her dinner fork And eyed it with suspicion ~ Would you like to see my babies? Asked Mandy with a grin Pushed her self on auntie’s lap Struggling with her tin ~ The lid flew off, the worms fell out Three fat , two a little thinner Desperately wriggling for freedom As they explored poor aunties dinner ~ Now we really shouldn’t have giggled of course it was unsavoury Seeing Mandy’s wriggly worms Doing backstrokes in the gravy ~ Auntie Pru left that afternoon We tried to make her stay But all in all we enjoyed the rest Of what was left of Christmas day A little fun piece for Christmas, and mostly true. Merry Christmas everyone. |

Ahhh . . . Loved this humorous take on a Christmas Day and Auntie Pru's disastrous stroke of misfortune! ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
