A Series Of Mixed Emotions |
Mr Martini Member Posts 366 Beneath The Line |
Wishes in a dream Pennies shine in a fountain Ankle deep in love Leaning into words Just thinking before drinking Nectar of the gods No one to deny Those days are dead behind me Easy to get old Harder to stay young Take whats yours and leave the rest I want my life back Write in subtle tones Believing every word Not the poker chips Look up from your sleep What do you see above you? Lanterns in the sky Glowing like my eyes Warming the cold in my heart Each time you wake me Drifting back to sleep Humming a sweet lullaby Fairy-dust slumbers It ain't easy bein' me, for you or for me. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

Wonderful series of emotions, dear Mr. Martini, so beautifully structured and profoundly captivating. I haven't added anything to my library in a long time, this one deserves to be read more than once. It vibrates and talks vividly. Margherita oh, and no, as you say "it ain't easy to be me ...." but aren't you just lucky to express your emotions like this?! |

'It ain't easy bein' me, for you or for me." perfect! Im going to steal that phrase, 'cause it fits me. "Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance." |
