to the coming Christmas season . . . I’d like to dedicate this poem to . . . people who’ve made me cry because they made me so happy and to the ones who’ve made me laugh to keep from crying I wish glad tidings upon . . . those who cannot use their eyes to see but can “see” so much more than most of us can in their dark special feelings . . . go out to the virile young men and women who come home from the war minus legs arms no recognizable face but will not give up there should be a special thanks to . . . those who hear voices that we cannot others who live by their quiet faith last, but for sure not least let us not forget the one who stares back at us in the mirror ©December 11, 2015 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~ |
