Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Behind the Poet’s words
lives the Poet’s life.
The grotesque we have in common,
our habits and insanities,
that flatulence that we share
with a sacred few.
Our inner circle knows
our imperfections
and yet calls us family.
From this humble spawn
of base humanity,
we raise our words profound.
Why God gifted us thus
a mystery it shall always be.
If we do not give them voice
it will surely drive us mad.
We will speak of all that moves us
to any that will listen.
That is the nature
of the Poet’s affliction.
Pity the tormented soul on paper.
Rejoice with one full of joy.
Be inspired by hope and nature
in all her painted glory.
Read on in oblivion
to the frailties
of the human hand behind
those words of wonder.
Think no one special wrote them.
Those words just might be mine.

Wonderful words top to bottom Miss Lori, but I no sooner started than these of all hit home.

I believe to a great extent, these words to be true. Happy begets happy, sad begets sad...etc.

Nothing is 100% of course, but mostly its true. As a person thinks, they are. Who they are reflects in each word they speak or write.

Sometimes, I think too much Miss Lori, but I'm not entirely to blame.

Thanks TF,
Sometimes I think I think too little...but ponder way too long. ~L

I too, believe it to be so Lori Rhoden. There is joy in the Mudville of my mind, no matter which of me is at the plate. You see, I have a love for the game.

Kind Sir,
Your love of the game is obvious in how well you play it. ~L
