Whispers Upon a Winter's Night~ Whisper to me softly Upon a Winter's night, Fill me deep in December While our fire spits at the cold, Shoo the cat from the rocker And invite me there, Lap open to a straddle serenade, To and fro Legato.. As the jealous wind Wails round corners, And Jack Frost voyeurs The windowpane. Whisper to me softly Upon a Winter's night, Tell me things I've never heard before, See the unselfish candle Offer its light to our Shadow play, Till it is no more Spent warm and sublime As we. Time is lost this Winter's night, Kept silent and secret Within the arms of the Grandfather clock, Pendulum sways to snows tempo, While hours veil a mist of unaccountable time, Time known to lovers, and The only chime Is the beautiful rhyme Of you Inside me.. ©Jan~ |

There are times when poetry make me more aware of my heartbeat. Its very quiet here during these evening hours. Highball and Roxy are sleeping and the only sound is that of my fingers slowly tapping on the keys. Deep, passionate poetry warming heart and soul. Merci Beaucoup. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
