darkness holds me once again Hugging me to its dark heart I feel its heartbeat on my cheek I close my eyes to lock it out I push it way with what remains of me But it will not be denied The darkness is behind my eyes The more I fight the closer it holds It fills me like nothing else It loves me in its way It sees in me its get It holds me my antecedent I was always of the dark to the dark I must return as inevitable as day to night So we come around again I feel the cold touch she takes my hand Her cool breath on my ear She whispers soothing words A loving mother she accepts me Her wayward son back to her arms So I am layed down to sleep My Mother my Darkness watching over And I can sleep once more I aint as good as I once was but I'm as good, once, as I ever was. - Toby Keith |

I used to have a love/hate affair with my dark demons . . . So I know whereof you speak. ~*~ Life is simpler when you plow around the stump. ~*~ |

Embracing darkness calms even the most unsettled mind. A natural cleanser for all that distracts us directly and peripherally. quote: Unlike yourself, I close my eyes to lock it in. I see myself much clearer in those times. A good read at this hour. ...just bein' Bluesy |
