in spite of her arm which could rival Tom Seaver's I walked to first base ...but I lost the game She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Thanks JerryPat and Lori! Not a problem Miss Lori. You likely figured the baseball stuff as metaphors, which they were. Seaver was a great pitcher in his early days and was known, as pitchers are, for his throwing arm. Happy Thanksgiving to you both and any who may follow! 88's friends She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

JerryPat, a whole host of Dodger names came to mind when you wrote Sandy's name. A great lefty was he, like Milwaukee's Warren Spahn. And of course, Don Drysdale. How about Leo "The Lip" Durocher? They don't make 'em like that anymore. 8-8 bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded and you're up! She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

I guess you never made it to second base, and that's a shame Tickle, but the little poem is home run anyway. |
