Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2015-11-19 03:18 PM

Thoughts languish on a dead sea.
A mind martyred on a cross of bored.
Eyelids genuflecting at the pew of nada to do,
on a  body prostrated in waste of time.
Such are the wholly days of hell I endure.
There is neither redemption nor forgiveness,
only feast days teeming with fragrant toil
to save this stranded soul.

Another original and perfectly crafted piece, Lori. If I was the jealous type, I would be positively green!

Smiles,

Why thank you very much Constance! It has been another slow day and poetry has saved my bacon. ~L

So many cool lines in this short, but poignant piece Lori,
unlike Constance, I'm green with envy. It started with this mind blower . . .

"Thoughts languish on a dead sea.
A mind martyred on a cross of bored."

. . . and got better with each succeeding line.

Hey Jerry!
I'm really surprised at the enthusiasm of the responses. There was a lot of eyelid genuflecting going on between the lines. Glad I stuck it out. I was about to give up after the 3rd line. ~L

Tf,
I was playing for sure and when it began to feel like work I almost quit-goes to show how bad the boredom has gotten to my attitude- Thanks you all it was most definitely worth it pushing through. ~L
