Normal day abnormal moments expecting tranquility desiring a norm on the fly away, sheltered from one winter wind "normal day" the man says at the bar straight and easy for him frequent visitor man in an hour glass sifted sands washing his brow bending and biting ice in a Starbucks cup wanting conversation transmitting anxiety "Have a great day" his visitor retorted amid the torrent of questions asked to make idle conversation tense due to an invasive moment normal for the other man interruptions otherwise at a cafe of many solitudes souls bound now to their laptops texts being harvested the odd person yearning for a chat disregarded in show case windows transmitting anxiety perhaps wondering why he never made the transition to technology...a toast to the wired ways of "friendship" or was he ever able to? if stuck in that normal moment.. looking for conversation biting ice asking twenty questions... |
