An Affair of Acquired Taste |

He couldn't say for certain when the thought first crossed his mind Maybe that’s because he couldn't really remember a time when it wasn't there It's not like something he hadn't done before But he did hope for something a little different this time She wasn't as young as the others He moved right along with them You shouldn't forget that Time and taxes, right? You'd think he'd run out of clothes Except for those times, he was known to be a pretty neat and orderly individual His words of advice to neophytes was "don’t wear anything knitted, that's all" The rest is in developing your own style His own 'style' didn't take too long. Sometimes he would play with them awhile He'd say it was kinda cool when they thought he was going to let them go "They'll do anything you ask of them", he'd say He admits however, that he was thoroughly entertained watching their expressions when they would learn the truth Say, if you're not busy and you think you might want to know more why not stop over for cocktails? We'll slap something on the grill and I'll share some more stories with you I've got some of the sweetest ground round you've ever tasted It sort of smiles up at you while you cook it. Don't be long baby Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! [This message has been edited by Mr Martini (11-15-2015 02:12 AM).] |

This very well composed, but absolutely chilling. Or am I just a victim of my own imagination? Either way, yikes! LOL smiles, Constance |

It's all entertainment my dear Constance, with a 'twist' of lime. You honor me with your visit. Let it not be your last. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

I have read this one twice and I am still shivering ... well it means you are good in creating an "uneasy" feeling ... no cocktail party for me, I am running! Margherita |

My thoughts ran wild, this is a haunting story. You already made me a victim of your imagination. You're gooooood! |

Mr. M, the other commenters hit it right on...you tell a chilling tale indeed...so says the spider to the fly...but what's with the aversion to knitted wear, not silken to the touch...my imagination is running wild |

I read you when you first posted but I was sooo creeped out I didn't know what to say! Looks like I'm not the only one you gave the willies to. Glad I'm in such good company. I will have to read you with a 10 ft. pole. Yikes! ~L |

First and foremost, allow me to thank you all for reading and providing such interesting replies. The particulars begin with Margherita. I would endeavor to end your shivers my dear by offering you my sweater, but you see it has a most troubling stain which still drips when I squeeze it. You know how those Italian knits are. However, after your run, why not stop by anyway for a refreshing yogurt smoothie? Next is shalisadefa. Thank you for your multiples. In condensing them, I gave thought to what you said about being perhaps a "victim" of my imagination. How about "imagining" yourself as a "victim instead? Take care on blind curves amigo. Now then jjote, regarding your inquiry, ("what's with the aversion to knitted wear"?), See my reply to Margherita just above. Thank you so much for reading my writings. "You are my Sunshine my only Sunshine". Like an accordion smorgasbord, with a few delectable edibles makes a swell picnic. Thank you love for the splendidly formatted greeting in my tuck. I am in your debt my dear. Lastly, for you Ms.Lori Grosser Rhoden, I have a 12 foot pole to cover just such situations and I'm always careful who I give my willie to. Thank you for reading me so well. Au Revoir Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
