(from Faces of Love). Your robe parted. Skin showed. Softness. My heart skipped beats, my breath drew in a gasp, my lips wanted to kiss, my hands to caress, my eyes never wanted to leave the wonders they saw. You smiled - And after all these years, I was still . . . in Love. © wesley james beard, jr. (Please don't assume everything I write is based on my personal life...) |

Whether or not an actual experience of yours Mr. Beard (keeping your ever-present disclaimer in mind), your poetry contains the images of a loving couple well acclimated to each other. You know your love is true if you felt it before the robe was opened and the loving sexual attraction was still there after the many years. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Jimmy, Aside from the fact you just plain write great love poems, you write from the perspective of long time love that is still vibrant. In doing so, you give hope and inspiration to all love younger than yours. And that, my friend, is a very special gift. Bless your heart! ~L |
