As I sit amongst the ruins of many years, With too little laughter and too many tears, All in all the burden was too much. I failed my family and friends have gone away, I have embraced the darkness and shunned the day; I missed most of everything that is in your touch. A beauty that eludes my ever dimming sight. There are too many dangers wondering the night, No hiding in shadows fewer places are out of sight, Unseen eyes follow me as if they cared for me, But they are the jailers of gathered information Stored away somewhere for further examination, If I could get close it is you I’d like to see, Perhaps to caress your lovely cheek? Times flies by adding another week and another week, And every minute I grow older and weak, Even giving my best and all, I falter. It is amazing technology the world did gain, But all it does is show the horrid stain, Documenting a past we can not alter. As I sit amongst the ruins of many years. Gloom |

You made me touch my own cheek with the back of my hand, to see if you would like it, to see if you would stand against the odds. Hugs, Sunshine |

Your words of lament were like the Blues to this sad soul and I took some comfort there. ~L |
