Takers and Receivers This life is how you choose to perceive it or believe it; for example think about these two deep sea fishermen, both casting a line into the ocean, neither knowing what they will catch but both hoping. They both catch a fish at the same time, one fisherman a humble man, a believer in God, he catches a wonderful 100 pound tuna, he knows that God has placed the fishes in the water, so as he brings the fish on board he smiles and laughs and thanks the Lord. The other fisherman is a prideful man that only believes in himself, he also catches a hundred pound tuna, he also is thankful and is busy bragging to his friend, "Look how lucky I am, what a great fisherman I am." In this situation, the outward circumstances are the same, they are both fishing from the same boat, they are fishing in the same ocean, but the inward thoughts are different. Both have caught a hundred pound tuna at the same time, one believing he has received a blessing from his God and the other thinking it is all about him. Someone provided both of those fish, they are not in the ocean by accident, one man knows and receives a blessing from his God, the other taking what he believes is his to take, never acknowledging the provider; one is living his life as a taker, the other living his life as a receiver. JamesLee 10/2/15 "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. and they straightway left their nets, and followed him"...Matthew 4:18-20. |

That's really nice. It's important to always remember we're nothing without GOD. Especially when life is going well and it's easy to believe in what we think may be our own merit. After all, "..what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micha 6:8) |
