As You Choose and Act So Goes Your Life Jack "Life is the choices you make and the actions you take." Take responsibility for your life; its your heart, its your brain, its your choices; for good choices there are consequences, mostly good ones, for bad choices there are consequences, mostly bad ones; sooner or later our choices and actions catch up with us and tap us on the shoulder, and as you make choices and act so goes your life Jack. They used to tell me James, "if you want to play (choice) you gotta pay" (consequence)! As time went by, I told them, "if you want me to play (choice} you gotta pay" (consequence)! A little ode I learned some time ago I did also recall while here. It goes like this: "for all I rightly think or do make or spoil, bless or blast is curse or blessing justly due for sloth or effort in the past" More of a rule of 'karma', it may easily be seen as a realization of "as you make choices and act so goes your life Jack". Yours was a true pleasure to read and others will find it the same I'm sure. 88's friend. She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Agreed. Brought my children up with words to that effect.I told them there would be many times in life when a choice would have to be made and it was up to them to think and choose their route. But that they had to remember they must also be prepared to face up to the consequence if any arrived. Best to you,Jo |

Thank you Tickelfingers, latearrival, and Jerry for the nice responses...I think sometimes we tend to blame other people for our delimma and if we honestly search our past it was probably a bad choice or decision we made yesterday, last week or maybe a year ago that brought us to that place...and the only choice I honestly have is me, myself or I to blame...james |
