         Shadow Catcher

On such a lovely Autumn eve
of  wandering clouds and
silver river, dancing forever
through a thousand miles
of ‘endless’ sunset hills
to meet the ever-restless
    sea,
I long for peaceful sleep
to sail once more the
grand-mystic lake of
ephemeral dreams
where all events of
the sweet, elusive past
still rise and fall in
shadow-waves; and
I ask for but one
bright-delicious
   moment,
stolen from Time,
to catch and hold
the finest memory
     of only you.

The warmth and comfort of memories in crystal clear reflections.
Still, some soften around the edges over time and no longer cut as they once did while others were born on a bed of feathers.
