Joy of Living "If God placed someone special in your life, would you appreciate them, would you treat them nice?" Mika and Milo were getting along wonderfully; like they were meant for each other, it wasn't by accident, both of them knew the value of treating another the same way you wished to be treated, with love and respect, they celebrated their compatibility and embraced their differences, they were thankful to God that another person possessed a personality that was so pleasing to them so desirous of the things that pleased them both; like long intimate hikes in the woods taking time to enjoy nature, or two people sharing a movie or even live theatre all the while making good moral choices, being careful not to fill their heads with much of the garbage that was out there, spending time in the coffee shop and using the time to talk stories about the excitement of now and expectations for the future, neither of them had a surfboard, so they would body surf, embracing the waves as close as possible, letting the waves carry them from rest to motion, they would take daytrips to places like Santa Barbara or Pasadena or Solvang or go the other way to Huntington Beach or San Diego, sometimes with friends and sometimes just the two of them, they even found a favorite place they liked to eat in Seal Beach called Surf Taco were they could share a wonderful steak burrito; they knew a good relationship will prosper by the love and respect you are giving, and they knew as well, a good relationship brings with it the joy of living. True love makes the whole world seem like a whole new place. With God being the creator/source of love and having that relationship as a foundation on to which to build a partnership, joy is bound to follow. Your poem just oozes happiness, contentment, excitement, hope, peace and love. I can just see the sparkle in your eyes! ~L |
