Magic and Moonlight

Just beyond the
Summer sunset’s
twilight-velvet
afterglow,
when we become
as one with the
moonlit shadows
and Time seems
frozen in the moment,
we may rise above the
     ego-myth
forgetting all schemes
of the careworn day,
remembering only love.
Of all our joys, this must
be the deepest and  finest.

Moonlight and shadows do create a kind of magic.

They do indeed !! ... so does 'poetry' methinks?! ...
'words' may provide the most lasting source of true
'magic' in this 'oft sad but yet so beautiful, 'ol world!
