By request, with pen in hand- I sit, I muse, alone- Then write of lost, exotic lands Forgotten, dried-out bones. Of kingdoms long since turned to dust And souls that long since fled... And ask you if you'd dare to walk, The concourse of the dead! Yon palace once housed Tamarlane... You'd call him Genghis Khan. And yonder is a merchant's keep- Blood-bathed is every stone. And, aye, I'd walk the GLORY ROAD And taste her every dream... A magic land, with magic folk... Who're never as they seem. So, write! My pen! And weep, mine eyes You've yet a tale to tell... By yonder candle's guttering light... I'll try to cast my spell. |

I like that you're writing off the beaten path here - exotic lands and tales of forgotten kingdoms and palaces. Write on Sir Galahad (er, Gunslinger), am enjoying this. |
