Worthy To feel worthy is hard won, Her words whispered, ‘neath pale sun The words they both strove to live by ‘Neath the world’s judgmental eye. Where he picked up the pieces grim. The scourge of all, she still loved him Who carried the blasphemous cries, As people spat on deep dark eyes. He heard the curses they all cast— That meshing roar he called the past. He read the hatred in their eyes, Saw their dichotomy of lies. He felt their jealousy and spite, Yet ‘held her calm most every night. As rage behind their silence stirred— Till every whitewashed voice concurred… They lit the catalyst, stepped back, As new found flame sizzled with crack. For all the shame he’d cast on them, Fell he, unto their fiery whim. With eyes ablaze, uplifting verse— His very last, his only curse. The Divinity of his sight, Became an explosion of light— Engulfed the faces looking on, Unto tomorrow’s vacant dawn. Where there walks she, tears welled in eye, Along the place she watched love die. Where she cast a look to the sky, And spurred the voice of challenge, “Why?” Not noticing the blazing sun, Had graced there two shadows, not one. It’s there the voice behind her spoke— As the dam to her tears broke. Said, “To feel worthy is hard won, Actually being, rarely done… And yet, part of the love of two, What more worth could there be to you?” Hand-in-hand leaving, ne’er returned To a place which would have love burned. Ahhh . . . As I was reading this I began to think that you were almost coming off sentimental, Michael. Eh . . . By the time I finished it I was certain I was right. quote:THIS I related to, buddy. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

What more worth could there be to you?” Hand-in-hand leaving, ne’er returned To a place which would have love burned. The darkness is there, but then you add a positive twist... and do so beautifully!! |

Michael, I know you realize that every time you write, I cry for you. You shall never stop. Neither will I. |
