it had been a dripping wet
waterlogged May
with soggy leaves underfoot
skies continually grey morphing into black
huge puddles
formed in the gutters as though
nature needed a damned
good cry

Yeah, and we loved it over here - well, some of us did... parts of the state (Texas) didn't fare so well, but it just made our place grow and grow and grow and pretty and green and full of flowers.  Best spring for plants and flowers in several years.

We had the same here in California... loved it.  Suddenly in the 100's already now... gonna be a long summer.

All a matter of preference
here Jerry- *Grins, 'cuz this sounds like a serene setting for ponder, with relaxing
possibilities
(minus any natural disasters o'course)lol.

Fine writing of the mood here, I believe you and the weather have it right- a good cry is needed every now and again.

I agree that the rain we received in My was a boon for the plants and flowers, Jimmy. hank you for your observation.

Oh yeah, Michael, the heat is on here also. I dread this coming summer. Appreciate your thoughts.

Tanya, of course the rain was good overall, it just got so that day after day of hard, driving rain began to get the best of me. Thanks for you nice comments.

Yes Jerry,
The day after day of gloomy are getting to  me too, then the sun comes out with all the humidity and tries to kill me! Made me want to have a good cry too. ~L

Hahaha! Leave it to you, Lori, to suffer all of God's creations personally. Gotta love it!!
