Mercy laughs, on palest wings-
sends me soft, to shallow screams.

In sleep, I'm panting pain, in paw-
of creatures known to fend the Sluagh'..
So dark and shiny, a hindered feign-
calls mass of Hungry, from cloud's disdain.

Havoc worn, in deadly escapade-
I'm heavy-flying, 'midst night's brigade..
Sunshine fades, on wrinkled sheets-
I am fodder, to sharp-mouthed feed..

Beasts of sky, roll in my pain-
slaking all, in swallowed stains.
Wings of watery, static-feast,
gorging, on hard-won peace-
In loud taste-tests, a sip of me-
holding tight, sans the strength..

Pouring gasp, with tip of claw-
desperate flounder, embrace the fall..
Torn so tender, from the sky-
by foggy forces, on air, in dine..

Head over toes, in full spin-
I weep my last, onto the wind..
Last real sight my eyes concur-
is the crowd fading, to a blur.

A shadow, scattered, shattered-
peeled in strips, of all that's mattered..
My turn to drain, in all I've fought-
Mother Mercy? Careth not.

Soul crushed for the sifting here, Tanya.  You have done wonderfully with this.  I.C.U.  another little piece falls into place here.  Last two stanzas are priceless.

The last line, the very last line says it all, devine . . . You were wonderful all the way through the poem, but, to me, it was all said in the last line.

If you do not have a few books written you should and they should find a name publisher.

You are better than most I have read. And do not be discouraged.I just read of a young man who sent his poetry to many named publishers. No one took him on.But he then went on to earn the Pulitzer Award. Best to you, jo
