the Sweetest Romance

My dear God
I hope and pray,
yearning for the night
waiting for the day
when my sweetheart
will no longer be missed
she'll be in my arms
close enough to hug and to kiss.

One more time
to feel and taste
her lips upon mine,
the blessings of another chance
to enjoy the sweetness
of her romance.
