Black matter, drinks me through- hand on neck, I am subdued. Soggy eyes scrape the sky- weak incarnate, well-cried dry... Owning answers, Still I ask- to sip a cup, brim-full of past... The jeweled chalice o'malady- might be all I'll ever see... Lady Light clings in small heap- silent as I spill my weep. Ne'er to be in cosmo's bright- I'm just not up to that fist fight... To see prospect, infinitely close- yet I can't grasp, with ease of most... Arms reach up, to block the sound- of my tumble-fall straight down. Deep sunset has waded in- it soaks on severed clouds... I lay wounded, knees to ground- Yep, the world has let me down. Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Ahhh . . . Tanya, you and Michael should get together on a poem, I have a feeling it would be superb. This one tells the tale of life in disarray and going from one sad state of affairs to another. Fine writing. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Excellent write, I am impressed. Sometimes that "Black Matter" takes over with tremendous power. Margherita |

You know, I was floored when I read this the first time. So much so I never made it back to reply I guess. quote:That's the line that did it right there. Poignant! Dark, and beautiful. Michael |
