oh those years behind us murmurs to us in these days of old we were merry pranksters born of women this child and dared to grow from acid rock we had our dreams ahhh . . . not understanding what the passing years meant we assumed they would last without end eh . . . it is the tinge of our thoughts where we really had no plan just rode that acid rock like a tempest hard driving even now near the end we still hearken back to what was then listen to the oldies rock station and revisit yesterday’s righteous , soul-cleansing rock acid rock thinking of Woodstock as we hobble along using our walkers nodding our heads to the beat of yesterday ©April 23, 2015 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

It's nice to have those sweet dreams of youth to hang onto If only we knew then, how sweet they were, but actually I think I did, I wish I could go back there many days. Nothing like youth is there? |

When you are right, Emma, you are right. Youth is wasted on . . . Well, yeah, you know the rest . . . What we were back then completely and forever was dependent on the fact that we were YOUNG. Memories. You betcha! ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Yeah, it was a wild ride, Michael, I have to say that it was. Some of the absolute greatest rock music ever came out of that era. (Money for nothing . . . women for free) Ah, thank you for your kind comments . . . ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Oh yeah, I went from good old county to acid rock overnight it seems. I still like "old" country and "old" acid rock. That's me, Babe! ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Absolutely Lori. Would that we could go back and live it over again. Eh . . . as you quoted, we are merely "dust in the wind." ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

hey, you're not that "old" and aged, that you'd want to sit in the sun just reminiscing. It's good for the soul though, as long as the good ole days were that good. |

Hah! Nope, I'm not the kind to sit in the sun reminiscing, jjote, but like most of us I do wander back in time via the keyboard. My "good old days" weren't so good for a large chunk of my life back then. Still, even bad old days can teach you a few things if you are geared to understanding them. Thank you for reading and commenting, haven't seen you around much lately, good that you are back . . . ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
