Shadow lost Daytime, and the ever rolling clouds That hide your shadow from my sight Retracing footsteps that never fit Those tides that turn but still return Are echoed words just as sincere Words etched in stone you’ll never read Cold wind whispers you never hear Petal carpets as blossoms fall And through the night red robin sings My thoughts accompany the tune Your presence felt I turn to see But only memories there for me Then with the day there comes the sun One shadow there one shadow gone |
